COMPLETED: MS SQL 2008 Upgrade to R2

Tonights upgrade to MS SQL 2008 R2 has been completed successfully. All settings from the previous version have remained and all functions have been tested and they are working just as they were before. If you do have any concerns or have any issues whatsoever please do not hesitate to log a ticket in the support suite and we will be happy to assist. MS SQL 2008 Upgrade to R2

On Tuesday 1th November 2011 we will be updating our MS SQL 2008 Database service to R2, this provide more functionality for all users of this service. This upgrade process will be carried out during a maintenance window between the hours of 17:00 - 21:00 GMT on 1/11/2011 This upgrade will involve the downtime of MS SQL 2008 services between this time, however we hope to complete this well within the specified window and we hope to get the service up and running again as soon as possible.
We will be making a full backup of all databases on the server before the upgrade process but we would also advise any users of this service to also complete a backup of their databases. This can be done through the panel: http://panel.4dhosting.com by going to the database, selecting "Maintenance Tools", clicking on "Backup" and then selecting the destination.
This process has been planned in advance and should not cause any problems after the upgrade, however if you do have any issues with the MS SQL 2008 service, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or the ticketing system http://support.4dhosting.com

After successful upgrade testing on out test platform we will soon announce a window to upgrade MS SQL 2008 to R2. You will all be informed in advance when we plan to complete this work.

RESOLVED: 4DReg Email Forwarding

Some users that have had issues with 4DReg email forwarding will now be able to use the service as normal. This problem has now been resolved.
